VISITER RIMINI

TIBERIO BRIDGE

The Roman bridge over the Marecchia river, the ancient Ariminus around which the first settlement had arisen, still today creates the connection between the city and the suburb (borgo San Giuliano). From here begin the consular roads, Emilia and Popilia, directed to the North. The via Emilia, traced in 187 BC by the consul Emilio Lepido, connected Rimini to Piacenza; through the via Popilia, instead, one reached Ravenna and continued up to Aquileia.
